Small Group Ministries...

Small groups are instrumental in building relationships with other Christians and intimacy with God. They are the heartbeat of a successful disciple-making body.

Small groups are typically limited in size and are filled on a first come basis. You can find out about new groups by watching the announcements, going by the greeter’s desk in the Atrium, or contacting Gemi Powell at 299-1015.

We offer three basic types of small groups. They are Study groups, Support groups and Shepherd groups.

Study Groups

Short-term groups which focus on a specific topic...e.g. parenting, finances, understanding God’s will. Some of the study groups we have offered include:

•Growing Kids God’s Way
•Reaching the Heart of Your Teen
•Crown Ministries
•Experiencing God
•That the World May Know

Good Sense Budget Course
You will learn what the Bible says about finances and how to combat cultural myths such as, “Debt is expected and unavoidable,” “Things bring happiness,” and “A little more money will solve all your problems.”

During the course, you will develop a Spending Plan for the coming year. You will learn about and choose between three different record-keeping systems to help you stick to your plan. Most importantly, you will discover how being financially faithful can help you become financially free!

Network
Network is a proven and repeatable process of identifying and placing believers into meaningful places of service where they can be fruitful and fulfilled. It is a comprehensive approach that includes a 3-Step process of Discovery, Consultation, and Service. Network helps believers identify their God-given Passion, Spiritual Gifts, and Personal Style (Servant Profile) in order to understand an fulfill their ministry.

Network provides a simple 3-Step process:

1. The Discovery step (Step One) helps the believer to discover their God-given Servant Profile (Passion, Spiritual Gift, and Personal Style) through a series of four hour and a half sessions. These step-by-step studies assist particpants to better understand their place within God's design for serving in the church. A biblical foundation is presented and several self scoring assessments are used to assist believers in their understanding.

2. A one-on-one Consultation (Step Two) follows the Discovery step. This personal interaction provides individualized attention for each volunteer in helping them find an appropriate place of service which reflects who God has made them to be (Servant Profile).

3. The goal of Network is Service (Step Three). Network's 3-step process moves people from the theology of the "priesthood of all believers" into the practical and God-honoring experience of it. We will connect you with the Ministry Leader in your particular giftedness and allow you the opportunity to experiment in that area. After a trial period you will be given the option to stay in that ministry or move to another.
