Senior Adult Activities...

We minister to many local organizations by volunteering our time to share the love of Christ.

Service Ministries

• Visit our shut-ins and nursing home members.
• Furnish lunch twice a year for BSM at the college.
• We volunteer one morning each month at the Seaman’s Center in Freeport, and if needed we work more hours. Also, we sponsor the annual Open House at the Seaman’s Center each December.
• Twice a year we help the Baptist Associational office prepare for mailing an issue of their newsletter, “Gulf Breezes”.
• We are active in the Gulf Coast Baptist Associational Senior Adult group and help prepare their newsletter for printing.
• Host the Executive Board once a year.
• Help plan and serve at the Senior Adult “Spring Fling” and “Fall Round-up”.
• Serve lunch to graduating Seniors and their families each May.

More Service Activities

Other activities the Seniors are involved in are:
Tutoring in the schools, volunteering at the hospital, home delivered meals, providing transportation to doctors appointments, Seafarer Ministry, and Gideons.

Trips and Outings

The T-N-T group travels throughout the year. We take a day trip once a month, one short trip a year and one long trip a year. This group is on the go and we have a great time traveling, learning and sharing the love of Jesus Christ everywhere we go.

Day Trips

These trips are no more than 100 miles from home and we take at least one per month. In the past we have gone places such as:

County Fair • Katy Mills Mall
Moody Gardens • Blue Bonnet Trail
Bush Library • I-Max • River Cruise

Short Trips

We take a short trip once a year and the trips usually last over a weekend and up to four days. In the past we have gone many places, such as:

Christmas lights Jefferson
San Antonio • Old Town Spring
East Texas • Branson

Long Trips

We take one long trip each year. These trips range around two or three weeks in length, and we have visited places such as:

Canada • Pennsylvania • Glorietta • Wisconson • Virginia
Statue of Liberty • Niagra Falls • Nashville • Chataqua • Senior Adult Convention
